  • I am currently an Independent Consultant specialising in agriculture and environment. I have a wide experience at Senior Management positions in Government and International Civil service. Before joining UN-FAO, I was the Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O.) and Director of Research at the Tea Research Foundation of Kenya TRFK) from August 2003 to July 2009 where I provided leadership in developing Strategic Development and Implementation Plans.

  • Egerton University’s Chairman of Council Amb. Dr Luka Hukka Wario made some strides in August 2021 when a Grade Six for the new Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) book he co-wrote with other authors was approved during an evaluation of textbooks carried out by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD).

  • On 13 April 2022, Egerton University (EU) officially opened the EU Minimart located at the Main Campus Entrance in Njoro.

  • Council Members of Egerton University gathered on Friday to participate in the greening efforts of the University and the larger conservation initiative of the Mau Ecosystem. This ecosystem is home to the Njoro River, one of the rivers that pass through the University, and drains its water in Lake Nakuru, a world-famous national park. The park is home to two types of flamingos, making it a vital ecosystem to protect.

  • Principal Secretary in the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary Ms Esther Ngero, in the State Department for Performance and Delivery Management, made a visit to Egerton University on Friday.

    Her one-day trip was aimed at closing a meeting of staff from the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary, who were on a retreat at Egerton University ARC Hotel to develop a Strategic Plan. During the meeting, the PS expressed her gratitude to her team for their tireless efforts in making the document a success.
