Congratulations Golden Faith Kipyegon

Egerton University wishes to congratulate Faith Kipyegon on winning a Gold Medal for Kenya on 19th July 2022 during the Women's 1,500 metres race in the World Athletics Championships in Oregon.

Faith Kipyegon is the Brand Ambassador of the Mau-Egerton University Cross Country. She hails from Kuresoi, Nakuru County, Kenya. The University also congratulates Ferdinand Omanyala for representing Kenya to the semi final stage in the 100 metres men's race. Omanyala is the incoming Brand Ambassador of the Mau-Egerton Cross Country whose 8th edition will be held on 25th February 2023. The main objectives of the race are to create environmental awareness and raise funds for the rehabilitation of the Njoro River and the Mau Ecosystem.

Egerton University wishes the two brand ambassadors success in the upcoming Commonwealth Games in England.
