Egerton Student Wins Prestigious Eni Award for Young African Talent
Egerton University is proud to announce that Petra Kienyiy Chui, a Master of Science student in Natural Resources, has been awarded the prestigious Eni Award 2024 in the Young Talents from Africa category. This recognition highlights Petra’s remarkable contributions to sustainable energy and environmental conservation, solidifying Egerton's reputation for nurturing innovative minds.
The Young Talents from Africa category, introduced in 2017, awards four prizes to outstanding young researchers from the African continent. Petra, a beneficiary of TAGDev 1.0 at Egerton, is among this year's distinguished winners. Along with this honor, she will receive a scholarship to pursue a three-year doctoral course at an Italian university, furthering her research and contributing to global scientific advancements.
