Egerton University staff honoured
Mrs Ruth Kamau, has been honoured by the International Renaissance Centre as among the top 100 women in the World in March 2022 – the World Women’s History Month.
Egerton University staff member,Mrs Kamau is currently the Executive Secretary at the Office of the Principal Nakuru City Campus College and has been with the University for over 32 years serving various offices.
In her career, Mrs Kamau spearheaded the inception of the Egerton University Secretarial Club and the establishment of the Secretarial Centre, where she served as a part-time tutor and mentor. She has mentored and nurtured the careers of professional secretaries working at Egerton University and across the 47 counties.
In addition to her professional contributions, Mrs Kamau has headed several welfare groups such as Wema Ladies, Egerton University Investment Women Group, Tenchick Self Help Group and served as the Secretary to the Nyumba Welfare.
