Nakuru Town Campus College completes first-year orientation

The Nakuru Town Campus College (NTCC) concluded the orientation exercise for first-year students for 2021/22 academic year on Tuesday 14^th September 2021.

NTCC Principal Professor Joshua Ogendo urged the students to be responsible during their course of stay at Egerton and be good ambassadors of the University.

“Avoid putting the University community into acts of shame. From the date of your registration as a student, you become an integral part of the NTCC community, with its culture and values,” he said.

“However, your achievement so far will only be of benefit if you remain true to your sense of responsibility, discipline, commitment and focus,” he added.

The Principal also promised the students of the College’s commitment to their welfare in ensuring they have a conducive learning environment and excel in their studies.

“Egerton University commits to and upholds academic discipline among the staff and students. This is manifested in a reputation of high academic standards that the University has put in place over many years and which is equally reflected in the quality of our Alumni,” added Prof. Ogendo

The College has admitted over 600 students in this September intake in the following disciplines: Bachelor of Commerce; Bachelor of Procurement and Supply Chain Management and Bachelor of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management.

All key sections of the University had an opportunity to speak to the first years during the orientation programme that lasted for a whole week.

The students were also addressed by other stakeholders, including the National Counter-Terrorism Center.

During the orientation, the students elected Class Representatives for the various disciplines.

Those elected include Jane Wambui and Paul Ateyo for Bachelor of Commerce and Boyantas Atinda and Roselyne Omondi for Bachelor of Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
