University Library Advisory Committee Visits The Library

The University Library Advisory Committee, led by the chairperson Professor Benard Aduda, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, Research and Extension visited the Library Department on 13th February, 2024 to familiarise with the Library services and facilities.
The DVC was accompanied by the Registrar Academic Affairs, Professor Mwanarusi Saidi and was received by the University Librarian Janegrace Kinyanjui, also a member of the committee. Another group of the committee comprising of Professor Fred Keraro, Director School of Distance Learning, Dr.Caleb Orenge Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery and Professor Micah Chepchieng, Director Board of Undergraduate Studies and Career Services, visited Nakuru City Campus College Library for the same mission.The visit followed a resolution made during the Committee’s meeting held on 4th February, 2024 that had suggested a visit to the Library.
The University Library Advisory Committee is a sub-committee of the University Senate whose Terms of Reference include monitoring the operations and performance of the library and efficient implementation of its policies by providing advice to the University Librarian and making recommendations to the University Senate.
The committee comprise of; the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, Research and Extension (chairperson),Registrar Academic Affairs (secretary), the University Librarian, one Dean of Faculty, Director Board of Postgraduate Studies, Director Board of Undergraduate Studies, Director School of Distance Learning, one postgraduate student representative as well as one undergraduate student representative.
