CLARIFICATION: Unapproved Engineering Courses by Commission Of University Education (CUE) At Egerton University

Egerton University has continuously offered Bachelor of Science in Engineering Courses in several areas since the University regularly receives Government of Kenya sponsored students placed by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) as regulated by Commission of University Education (CUE).The University also regularly reviews its Curricula to meet changing needs of the industry and job and employment market with approval of Commission of University Education (CUE).

Contrary to information in the media and social forums on 11th March 2022, Egerton University has only three (3) programmes, not five (5), that have been under review. In addition, we wish to inform our students and general public that these programmes were accredited by CUE in 2013 and we invite you to visit CUE website as www.cue.ac.ke.

These programs include BSc in Manufacturing Engineering & Technology (MET), BSc in Instrumentation and Control Engineering (ICE) and BSc Water and Environmental Engineering (WEEN).
