The ICT Authority, through the Ministry of ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs, launched the Kenya National Digital Masterplan 2022-2023 on 12^th April, 2022, to conduct digital skills training to 20 million citizens as one of its pillars.

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Bernard Odhiambo Aduda PhD, DIC, FKNAS as Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Academic Affairs with effect from 1^st February, 2022.

This is to inform you that the following appointments were made with effect from the dates indicated.

After a long wait due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we finally welcomed our first year students (2020 cohort) to campus on the 4^th and 5^th of January 2020. This was a great opportunity for the students to be fused into the Egerton community. The students were admitted, registered, underwent orientation, and were attending classes on the University e-learning online platform. These students finally have an opportunity for in person interactions with their faculty. I trust that they will find inspiration from the confines of a secure and safe campus teeming with abundant agricultural resources and amenities for their education.

We have once again come to the end of the year, yet 2020 is a year unlike any in recent memory. Anunrelenting world pandemic whose magnitude and full impact is yet to be ascertained has continued toravage nations big and small. As the students finish their examinations and the academic year of 2020 draws to a close, I would like to take a pause to thank the students, faculty, and staff for their hard work,commitment, and devotion to the University. 

RE: SUBSTANTIVE VICE-CHANCELLOR - 

I wish to inform staff, students and members of the public that I am still the substantive Vice-Chancellor of Egerton University untill further notice.

This notice overrides the earlier one referenced EU/APD/R/HCA/22 dated 20th November, 2020 on the appointment of acting Vice-Chancellor
